Lucianovic Illustrator: George Eros Genre: Copyright:2019 Reading Level: Interest Level: Picture book or chapter book: Picture Book Summary: Many characters throughout the book loose animals that they care for. The book discusses the process of losing something very close to you through how to bury something, what you can say during a funeral, story’s you can tell, what emotions are okay, and what you can bring. But most importantly, don‘t dig it up! Moral of story/lesson/theme: Hope for children as they cope with loss Is it a good read aloud book? Yes 3/24/2020 0 Comments Creepy pair of underwear!Title: Creepy Pair of Underwear Author: Aaron Reynolds Illustrator: Peter Brown Genre: Fiction Copyright: 2017 Reading Level: Interest Level: Picture book or chapter book: Picture Summary: Jasper Rabbit is afraid of the dark. His mother allowed him to buy creepy ghoulish green underwear. He gets scared of the green underwear and tries to get rid of them several times. Once they are gone, he realizes he is still scared of the dark and uses the creepy green underwear as a nightlight and considers himself a “Big Rabbit”. Moral of story/lesson/theme: It’s a good thing to try big-kid things. If things don’t go as planned, sometimes unusual solutions help fix the problem.
