Yes Title: The True Story Of The 3 Little Pigs Author: Jon Scieszka Illustrator: Lane Smith Genre: Fiction Copyright: 1989 Reading Level: k-2 Interest Level: k-5 Picture book or chapter book: Picture book Summary: This story is told from the Wolf’s perspective being how he is locked up in jail and wants to get out. The story has humor and is cleverly written. The wolf explains he went to the three wolfs house only looking for sugar but when he got there, he had a huge sneeze which knocked over the first 2 pigs houses. The cops showed up when he sneezed at the third pigs house and has been locked in jail ever since. Moral of story/lesson/theme: There’s two sides to every story. Is it a good read aloud book? Yes. |
